Watermelon Mint Hydration Juice for Hot Days - Cooling, Refreshing, and Simple

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 6 cups seedless watermelon, chilled and cubed (about 1 small mini watermelon)
  • 10–12 fresh mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1–2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt (a small pinch)
  • 1/2–1 cup cold water or coconut water, as needed for blending
  • Optional: 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup if your watermelon isn’t very sweet
  • Ice, for serving

Method

  1. Prep the watermelon: Remove the rind and cut the watermelon into cubes. Chilling the cubes ahead of time makes the juice colder and brighter.
  2. Blend: Add the watermelon, mint leaves, lime juice, salt, and 1/2 cup of cold water (or coconut water) to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 30–45 seconds.
  3. Taste and adjust: Check sweetness and acidity. If the watermelon isn’t very sweet, add honey or maple syrup. If you want more tang, squeeze in a bit more lime.
  4. Strain (optional): For a smoother, lighter texture, pour the juice through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing gently with a spoon. If you like it pulpy, skip this step.
  5. Thin if needed: If it’s too thick, stir in more cold water or coconut water until it’s easy to sip and ultra-refreshing.
  6. Serve: Pour over ice, garnish with a sprig of mint, and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and chill.
