Load the blender: Add the milk first, followed by yogurt, frozen cherries, banana (if using), vanilla, and a small pinch of salt.
Sweeten to taste: Drizzle in honey or maple syrup.
If your cherries are very sweet, start with less and add more later.
Blend until smooth: Start on low, then increase to high for 30–45 seconds. If it’s too thick, add a splash of milk. If it’s too thin, add a few frozen cherries or ice.
Taste and adjust: Add a touch more vanilla for warmth, more honey for sweetness, or a squeeze of lemon if you want a little brightness.
Serve immediately: Pour into a chilled glass.
For a café-style finish, dust with a pinch of cinnamon or shave a little dark chocolate on top.
